A marvelous early limited edition lithograph from Alexandre Hogue (1898-1994), one of America’s finest 20th century artists. The upright posture of the horse contrasts sharply with the lean of his wrangler and even the building behind. The casual posture of the man in the doorwary suggests that ultimately all shall be well and human objectives will prevail.
Titled and numbered 71/75 in pencil at left bottom.
Signed and dated in pencil at right bottom.
Image 11” x 14 3/4”. Framed.
