Wonderful oil on canvas painting of a woman at work by Dutch artist Barend Hendrik Ter Weeme (1880-1956). Only a few of Weeme’s paintings have been publicly sold and they have been as inexpensive as this one, but he was clearly a skilled artist in the long tradition of Dutch interior painting.

CONDITION

This piece has extensive craquelure throughout as well as one small spot of missing paint (see detail photo) and a scuffed area at the bottom below the signature.
