Alexandre Hogue, JOHN E. MABEE HALL - UNIVERSITY OF TULSA (1955)

$1,000.00

Image  14.5" x 8.25".

Frame 24" x 18.5"

Numbered 34/75.

Signed and dated 1955.

Hague made this lithograph in 1955, while he was an art professor at the University of Tulsa. It depicts the John E. Mabee Men's Residence Hall on the campus, along with college-type pedestrians walking the grounds (see if you can find them all!). A really lovely image of mid-century academe.

The simple matting and frame are simple and possibly original. A case could be made for replacing them with something a little less clinical in appearance.
